What are Dentures?

Dentures are a prosthetic device that is constructed to place any teeth that are missing. The device is supported by any hard and soft tissue that is part of the oral cavity, that is surrounding it. Conventional dentures can be removed but there are some dentures are not removable.

There are two different types if designs for dentures. The first design for dentures is, the dentures clasping or rely on bonding onto the teeth. The other design for dentures is having a dental implant.

Maxillary arch and mandibular arch are the two main categories of dentures. But it depends on type you will actually need.

Maxillary arch or the mustache bone, is the two bones that makes up the upper jaw. A maxillary is a denture for the upper jaw.

Mandibular arch or the inferior maxillary bone, it is the lower jaw bone that hold in the teeth in place. A mandibular is a denture for the lower jaw. It is possible to either need maxillary arch or a mandibular arch, but if you need both then you can get both.

No matter what type of dentures you get, you will have the same look. They will look like your real teeth but be fake and nobody will tell the difference, if you have your real teeth or that they are fake. The only way people will know is if you tell them. If you don't know if you should people, then you don't have too. But make sure you tell your immediate family. The reason for telling your immediate family is because of health reasons.
